Dev has made a guest appearance in Avik Mukhopadhyay’s Ekti Tarar Khonjein the role of a star. With Arpita Pal making her comeback in this Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s production, the obvious question was whether the offer was first made to Prosenjit to play the star in the movie. Says Aniruddha, “We wanted someone younger. It was very generous of Dev to agree to do it. Shayan too has done a great job in the film. Prosenjit is extremely professional. Despite requests, Prosenjit never came down to the sets. He gave space to everyone. Moreover, we didn’t want it to seem as if Prosenjit has agreed to a guest appearance because wife Arpita is doing the film. We didn’t want a package deal.”
