Dev and Koel are back to creating magic onscreen post Mon Mane Na. This time around, it’s Sujit Mondal’s Bolo Na Tumi Amar. CT caught up with the film’s unit and of course, the lead actors, as they got busy delivering their lines before the camera at a resort in Howrah.
It was a comic sequence that was fixed for the Thursday shoot. The sequence had the police coming to catch Dev and he, in turn, requesting Koel to save him. But Koel, who plays Madhurima here, flatly refuses to bail Abhishek, essayed by Dev, out of the sticky situation. Incidentally, Abhishek keeps addressing Madhurima as Madhur ma in the film just to pull her leg. In reality, however, it’s Koel who is the prankster on the sets.
“It’s very easy to play a prank on Dev. It’s funny because he always reacts,” says Koel and adds that in the sequence she has to keep fighting with Dev.
But the cool-headed girl that she is, how does she manage to play the hotheaded Madhurima, one wonders. “Well, my dialogues help me emote,” Koel can’t stop laughing.
Dev, on the other hand, can’t stop raving about how dishy Tota Roy Choudhury looks as the police inspector. “I kept saying ‘kya baat police inspector, bahut jach rahe ho’. As for working with Koel is concerned, she is a sweet soul. It’s easy to coordinate the scenes with her and we can thus deliver our best together onscreen,” Dev explains.
