Dev keeps surprising his audience with astounding performances. But this time around, the actor himself was surprised with what was in store for him. He is back from the US on Tuesday night and that too after winning The Best Rising Star Of Bengal award at Banga Sommelan. An excited Dev gushes, “This is my first award ever. I have no words to describe how I feel. I am looking forward to that day when I will receive an award in Kolkata in the midst of the audience that loves me.” So, how does this rising star of Bengal assess himself ? “I don’t know whether I’m rising, falling or hanging,” he jokes, adding that he puts in his cent per cent and leaves the rest to destiny.Moving on to his projects, he says that his next is Sujit Mondal’s love story with a pinch of kick-ass action. “I am paired opposite Koel,” informs the actor, who is busy dubbing for Dujone.In fact, this will be Sujit Mondal’s next after Saat Paake Bandha. “After Mon Mane Na, this will be our next film with Koel and Dev. The film is on what happens when two persons with opposite mentalities fall in love. The script is not yet completed. We plan to shoot some sequences in Australia this time,” quips Nispal Singh from the production house.
